Deforestation Kills Mycorrhiza & More

Today was the first day Bailey and I decided to go by foot to school (and back) through the forest. Usualy i would drive the car if the weather is bad and return home to let him out.
The first part of the forest was OK even though evenly uniformed (same tree size indicates recent deforestation). In the middle of the forest a different landscape came to sight;
Besides killing the Mycorrhiza and other type of Moss, Insects, rejecting the nesting birds (which flew thousands of kilometers from the South to nest up here), causes soil erosion and disturbs the underground water ways, deforestation also kills the joy of walking through the forest on the way to school.
But who cares about that anyway, we need toilet paper to wipe our ars with! Or?
