To Howl or Not To Howl

"Värmlands vargrevir blir fler, men vargföryngringarna färre jämfört med året innan. Under vintern berördes länet av cirka 25 vargrevir. Det visar länsstyrelsens preliminära sammanställning av vinterns inventeringar.
Sju hundar dödades av varg i Värmland under 2011. Däremot dödades förhållandevis få, 14, får av varg i länet under året." Source

I think often about the wolves when in the forest with my dog. I wouldnt like them to cross our path nor us to cross theirs. 7 dogs where killed by wolves in Värmland under 2011. Is there too many wolves in Värmland or too many people? The more people the more chances there is for wolves to strike whats ours. No?! What to do?
